12 people were killed and several injured in the incident. However, after the incident, a systematic and malicious conspiracy to defame Pakistan emerged, in which the Indian media spread false images and claims on social media to spread anti-Pakistan propaganda.
Pakistani youth Sheikh Naveed became a victim of this conspiracy. He clarified on the social networking site ‘X’ that his image was being shared incorrectly and that he was not involved in the attack. The youth appealed that the misuse of his image should be stopped so that no further mental anguish is caused.
Viral videos and fabricated allegations on social media spread hatred without ignoring the truth. Systematic lies and propaganda were spread globally to defame Pakistan, which ignored real human bravery and sacrifice.

Flase claim and propaganda of Indian Media about Sydney shooter

During the incident, a common citizen, Ahmed Al-Ahmed, set an example of bravery. This man, wearing a white shirt, ran into the car park, reached the armed attacker, snatched his weapon, subdued him and later returned it. The video of the action quickly went viral on social media, with people praising his bravery, which likely saved many lives.
Experts and analysts say the tragedy was the crime of one individual and defaming an entire nation is a highly irresponsible and despicable act. Terrorism is not associated with any nation or religion, and linking the tragedy to Pakistan was a systematic attempt to divert attention from the real issues of extremism, helping victims, and rebuilding the community.

The tragedy made it clear that truthful reporting, humanitarianism, and highlighting true heroism are essential, while lies and propaganda create hatred and division in society.
It should be noted that the shooting incident at the Jewish festival on the world-famous Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, shook the entire country, resulting in the death of 12 people.
The news that the Indian media had declared the attacker a Pakistani turned out to be false, and it has now been confirmed that the attacker was from Afghanistan.

False claim of Indian Media about the shooter
It has now been confirmed that the attacker was not from Pakistan but from Afghanistan. The Pakistani citizen whose profile the Indian media was propagandizing about has come forward himself. Sheikh Naveed said in a post on social media that he has nothing to do with this attack. False news is being spread in this regard on the Indian media. My picture is being used on social media and I am being held responsible for the attack. Which is completely baseless. However, now his video statement has come to light.
In the video, he said that my name is Naveed Akram, I live in Sydney, I came here in 2018, I did my masters here and did my bachelor’s in Pakistan, I am running my own company from here in engineering and I have been here for a long time while doing engineering. The purpose of making the video is that today a very sad incident took place in Sydney, a shooting incident took place on Bondi Beach, there were many people there who were injured. I strongly condemn this incident. Such incidents should not happen.
He said that a misunderstanding was spread in media reports that the name of the attacker is Naveed Akram, while my name is also Naveed Akram. Unfortunately, our names are the same. Taking advantage of this, some media organizations have taken some pictures from my Facebook account from my X-account and those people are spreading these pictures of me that this person is the attacker, however, I am clearly telling everyone that he is a different person and I am different, only the name is the same. As it is, I have nothing to do with it.
