Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Ambassador Asim briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the Pakistan Mission’s engagements in New York, particularly at the United Nations Security Council and other UN organs.
He also highlighted the Mission’s continued and sustained efforts to project Pakistan’s key foreign policy priorities at multilateral fora, including Jammu and Kashmir and the Palestinian cause.
On the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored the significance of the United Nations and multilateral institutions in achieving global peace, security, and economic development.
