Aleem directs NHA to remain alert for upcoming spell of snowfall

Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has directed National Highway Authority to remain fully prepared and on high alert for the upcoming spell of snowfall expected across the country.

In a statement, he also lauded NHA teams for their exceptional performance in keeping national highways and motorways operational despite recent heavy snowfall and challenging weather conditions.

Abdul Aleem Khan paid tribute to the field staff working in the most difficult terrains of Murree, Chitral, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that timely interventions, including continuous salt sprinkling and the strategic deployment of heavy machinery on the Murree Expressway and other key arteries, played a vital role in preventing accidents and ensuring safety.

The Minister also urged travelers and tourists to cooperate fully with the field staff in hard areas to ensure a safe and smooth journey.
