On the special instructions of Dr. Haroon Ahmad Shiraz, Assistant Commissioner of Tehsil Noorpur Thal, the Para Force conducted visits to the suburban areas of Chan and Adhi Kot. During the inspection, official price lists were checked at vegetable, fruit, and grocery shops to ensure compliance with government rates.
Three major shops were sealed for selling essential commodities at prices higher than the officially notified rates, while several shopkeepers were imposed with heavy fines.
The administration clarified that providing relief to the public remains the top priority of the Government of Punjab, and indiscriminate action against inflation will continue.
The Assistant Commissioner directed the concerned staff to further strengthen the price control mechanism and to initiate strict legal action against violators.
