
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against the nexus between Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK) and the Afghan Taliban regime, as well as their subversive activities.
He gave these directions, while receiving briefing from the military leadership during his visit to the General Headquarters, Rawalpindi today.
The Prime Minister said actions of the Afghan Taliban regime and Fitna al-Khawarij against Pakistan are unacceptable.
He said the Armed Forces of Pakistan, under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, remain fully prepared at all times to safeguard the country.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan knows well how to defend itself against any aggression.
He also appreciated the professional capabilities of the Armed Forces of Pakistan for repulsing attacks in border areas by the Afghan Taliban regime and for delivering a strong and effective response.
The Prime Minister said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its Armed Forces for the defense of the homeland.
