A meeting of the Regional Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Sargodha Police. All District Police Officers (DPOs) and divisional heads of various police wings attended the meeting.
During the session, a detailed review of inter-district police matters, overall law and order situation, and departmental performance was conducted. Various proposals were discussed to maintain peace and stability, prevent crime, and address issues related to policing.
RPO Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan directed the concerned officers to further strengthen security arrangements for government buildings and sensitive installations. He emphasized strict implementation of the security plan across all districts in view of the prevailing security situation.
He also instructed officers to accelerate the ongoing crackdown against illegal foreign nationals, particularly Afghan citizens, in accordance with government policy to ensure the maintenance of law and order.
The RPO reiterated that the protection of life and property of the public remains the top priority of the police, and all available resources will be utilized to achieve this objective.
