The Sindh Government has launched a programme to provide five million free scooties to women across the province.
In this connection, the Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Department organized a ceremony in Karachi today to distribute three hundred Pink Electric Scooties on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon said that women applying for the scooty will be required to present a permanent driving license along with proof of education or employment.
He said the government is also providing free driving training to women under the programme to help them travel safely and independently.
