United States President Joe Biden has announced to enhance US military presence in Europe, strengthening NATO to counter threats from all directions.
During his meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Madrid on Wednesday, he said that NATO is strong and united and it will be furthered strengthened in all directions-land, air and sea.
Mr Biden disclosed Washington is set to establish permanent garrison headquarter in Poland along with deployment of an army battalion to respond Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and continued aggression.
These additional troops in Poland will be joined by new US forces in Europe. Together, they represent an increase of 20,000 troops across Europe.
