To celebrate 75th Independence Day of Pakistan, the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul organized a colourful ceremony on Sunday.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the messages from the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

The Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan welcomed the Pakistani community and thanked for their participation in the ceremony.

The ambassador said that Pakistan since its creation faced multiple challenges but it has overcome all such challenges to a great extent. Pakistan is now one of the strongest countries of the Muslim Ummah due to its constant progress in all fields.

He highlighted the sacrifices and struggle of national leaders including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal and others for securing an independent country for the Muslims of the sub-continent.

While highlighting Pakistan foreign policy, he said that Pakistan desires to have good and friendly relations with all countries of the world, especially with Muslim ummah and neighbouring countries.

The ambassador said that Pakistan is committed to continue humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan shares common religion, culture and border with Afghanistan; therefore, we support Afghanistan in all circumstances.

He said that both countries understand significance of regional connectivity, therefore support TAPI and Railways projects in order to overcome regional poverty.
