Punjab Governor Baligh-Ur-Rehman has said that government firmly believes in the freedom of speech and expression.
He stated this while addressing the condolence reference held in the memory of senior journalist Islam Zamir in Islamia University Bahawalpur on Monday.
While paying rich tribute to late Islam Zamir, the Punjab Governor said that he always promoted the finest points of journalism during his whole life.
Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Engineer Professor Dr Athar Mehboob said that professional life of Islam Zamir is a beacon of light for young journalists.
Controller News Radio Pakistan Sajjad Parvez said that Islam Zamir was professional journalist who promoted democratic values in the society through his writings.
