Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman says May 28, 1998 will always be remembered as a symbol of our security, defense and national pride.

He said this while addressing a ceremony in connection with the Silver Jubilee of Youm-e-Takbeer under the auspices of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust in Lahore on Saturday.

He said on May 28, 1998, the then Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif took a bold decision to detonate nuclear weapons despite all kinds of international pressure.

Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman said martyrs of Pakistan Army and Security Forces are our pride and memorials of martyrs are our national asset.
