Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has urged the health experts to promote research regarding problems and challenges being faced by the country’s health sector.

Addressing a ceremony of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council in Islamabad today, he termed provision of health facilities to the general public as the most important pillar of development.

The Minister said accreditation of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council to the World Federation for Medical Education is a matter of pride for our country.

He said this is a testament to the hard work and dedication of PM&DC. It affirms their commitment to providing a world-class medical education that prepares our graduates to excel in their careers and make a positive impact on healthcare.

Ahsan Iqbal expressed hope that the future of medical education and health sector in Pakistan is bright.

Minister for Planning also underlined the need for joint efforts at public and private level to improve country’s health sector.

He said new institutions should be established so that every citizen may get best health facilities.

Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that providing health facilities to every city and district without any political differences is the topmost priority of the government.
