The Women’s Media Forum, Pakistan (WMFP) demands that PTI’s leader, Mashal Yousufzai, apologise publically for trying to defame journalist Nadia Sabhi. Mashal Yousufzai who is Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s advisor on Social Media alleged that Peshawar-based journalist Nadia Sabohi for spreading news of the summary that the KP government had bought Yousafzai a Fortuner car.

Mashal accused Nadia Sabohi in an X post: ” Nadia Sabohi has started the propaganda because she demanded money and was denied by me.”

She added Nadia, who is with Geo News, “demanded monthly money, which I refused saying that this is Imran Khan’s government, if the envelope doesn’t work here, then started regular propaganda.”

Mashal also shared screenshots of  WhatsApp messages with Nadia Sabohi and also shared the latter’s personal mobile number on social media.

Nadia is undoubtedly a dedicated and principled professional, with a commendable 26-year career in journalism. She has vehemently refuted these allegations, standing firm on her integrity and commitment to the truth.

WMFP demanded that the political personality should publicly apologise to Nadia Sabohi and steps taken against her to ensure that no one in the future dares to spread false accusations against any journalist. Also, not share the contact details of journalists or media workers as it could cause serious threats to their lives.
