Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has performed the soft launch of IDEAS 2024 to be held in Karachi in November this year.

Addressing the launching ceremony in Islamabad this evening, he said Pakistan’s defence industry is not only meeting the requirements of the armed forces of the country but also has the potential to export its products on competitive basis through reasonable armed trade.

Jam Kamal said IDEAS has become a great meeting place for defence exhibitors, high-level defence delegations, analysts and trade visitors from all over the world.

He said IDEAS provide excellent opportunity to develop better understanding, relationships, networking of defence industry, and seeking affordable solutions to meet the challenges being faced by the defence industry.

Earlier speaking on the occasion, Director General Defence Export Promotion Organization Major General Asad Nawaz Khan said IDEAS is a shared vision for global peace, stability and harmony amongst the comity of nations.

He said Pakistan today offers enormous opportunities and has the potential to emerge as a global platform for defence and research, scientific growth, manufacturing and to undertake joint ventures for strengthening our defence capabilities and exports.
