The National Assembly was informed today that the security forces are focusing on intelligence-based operations to neutralize terrorists and their facilitators.

Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif informed the House during the Question Hour today that Pakistan is the only country fighting the onslaught of terrorists’ organizations based in Afghanistan such as Fitnah-al-Khwarij and Daesh.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar told the House that content being aired on television channels is not being pre-censored by PEMRA. However, it is their prime responsibility to adhere to the code of conduct.

Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar told the House that a technology based system will be implemented in the federal capital for disposal of solid waste. He said the CDA is working on war footing in this regard.

Responding to a calling attention notice, Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar informed the House that strict action is being taken against human trafficking on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Giving details of the action taken against human traffickers , he said 1638 arrests were made and 458 traffickers were convicted in the last year. He said that action was also taken against the FIA officials for their nexus with these criminals.

The National Assembly today passed the National Commission on the Status of Women Amendment Bill, 2024.

It was moved by Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar.
