
The National Assembly was informed today (Wednesday) that Pakistani passports contain international security features, making them impossible to forge.
Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhary told the House during the Question Hour that strict action has been taken against human smugglers while the FIA officers involved in trafficking have also been terminated.
Parliamentary Secretary for Defence, Zeb Jaffer, told the House that Gwadar International Airport is operating under open sky policy to promote international flight operations and facilitate greater connectivity.
She said the Civil Aviation Authority remains committed to facilitating airline operators in commencement of flight operations to and from Gwadar.
The Parliamentary Secretary said PIA has recently commenced international flight operations between Gwadar and Oman.
Zeb Jaffer mentioned that facility for the refueling of the international flights has also been provided at Gwadar International Airport.
The Parliamentary Secretary said the up-gradation and expansion of Begum Nusrat Bhutto Airport Sukkur, is currently in the planning stage. She said PC-1 of the project amounting to forty billion rupees has been prepared.
