
Pakistan and Iran have decided to further enhance the defence cooperation.
This was decided in a meeting between the Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Iranian Minister for Defence Brig. General Aziz Nasir-Zadeh in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security and counter-terrorism efforts.
The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral ties and promote peace and stability in the region.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif emphasized the importance of defence diplomacy in addressing shared security challenges.
The Iranian Defence Minister reiterated his country’s desire to build stronger defence ties based on mutual respect, shared values and trust.
Both the leaders, expressing optimism about the future of Pakistan-Iran defence relations, pledged to continue working together for the prosperity and security of the region.
