Jashn-e-Milad-un-Nabi صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ is being celebrated today (Saturday) with great religious fervor and solemnity.
The day dawned with a thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital, and a twenty-one-gun salute in all provincial capitals.Today is a public holiday.
Special prayers were offered after the Fajr prayer for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the progress and prosperity of the country.
This year, the government, under a unanimously passed resolution at both Houses of the Parliament, has made special arrangements to commemorate the year 1447 Hijri as the 1500th blessed birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
