Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has warned India of a strong and decisive response in the event of any fresh wave of hostilities.

Delivering a historic and unequivocal address at the passing-out parade of Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul on Saturday, he stated Pakistan would respond in a manner far beyond the expectations of those initiating the hostilities.

Highlighting the reach and lethality of Pakistan’s weapon system, Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan will shatter the misconceived immunity of India’s geographic vastness. He said the deeply hurting retributive military and economic losses inflicted will be much beyond the imagination and calculations of the perpetrators of chaos and instability.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, however, advised and cautioned the Indian military leadership that there is no space for war in a nuclearized environment. He said India should settle the core issues with Pakistan as per international norms on the basis of equality and mutual respect.

He categorically stated that we will never be intimidated nor coerced by the Indian rhetoric and shall respond decisively to even a minor provocation without any qualms.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said the defense doctrine of Pakistan is predicated on credible deterrence and perpetual readiness, encompassing the full spectrum of capabilities.

Asim Munir said that the armed forces of Pakistan with the support of the nation have defended the external and internal frontiers of this great country with unflinching resolve, conviction and pride.

Alluding to the recent display of the spirit and resolve of the armed forces during Marka-e-Haq, Field Marshal Asim Munir said it has further strengthened the trust and confidence of the people of Pakistan on the competence and far reaching capabilities of its armed forces. By neutralizing all threats with remarkable professionalism, downing advanced assets like Rafale fighter aircraft, targeting multiple bases including S-400s and showcasing multi domain warfare capabilities, Pakistan has displayed its capabilities and will to defend.

He said that the people of all hues and colours, age, gender, ethnicity or creed, stood firm and tall like a wall of steel, leading to a renewed spirit of patriotism and national fervour, which prevails across the length and breadth of Pakistan.

Our collective success has re-energized and strengthened the proud and illustrious memories of our earlier successes. He mentioned that Pakistan once again came out victorious against a treacherous enemy marked by strategic blindness and naivety, and filled with hubris and rhetoric about its misguided hegemonic ambitions.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the success of Marka-e-Haq reinforced the confidence particularly among the youth that the armed forces of Pakistan are an essential element of national power and trusted with the responsibility of protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.

He assured the nation that with the help and mercy of Allah Almighty and the support of people, we will not lose an inch of this sacred land.

Syed Asim Munir warned that our enemy is bent upon driving a wedge between the armed forces of Pakistan and the people for its ulterior motives. He, however, emphasized that the bond between the people and the armed forces is unshakeable.

The Chief of Army Staff said that India continues with state-sponsored terrorism as a preferred policy after having failed in its belligerence against Pakistan. Our adversary’s use of Fitna al-Hind and Fitnah al-Khawarij as hired guns exposes its hypocritical and heinous face to the world.

The Chief of Army Staff called upon Taliban regime to rein in the proxies who have sanctuaries in Afghanistan and are using Afghan soil to perpetuate heinous attacks inside Pakistan. He urged the Afghan people to choose mutual security over perpetual violence and progress over hardline obscurantism. He said Pakistan will surely defeat the menace of terrorism and every proxy of our neighbour will be razed to dust.

The Chief of Army Staff said that Pakistan has successfully emerged as a net regional stabilizer in the region. He mentioned that Pakistan’s relations with key global and regional powers particularly the Muslim countries have further strengthened. He said Pakistan has persistently proven to be a key contributor towards peace and stability in the region and beyond. He highlighted that the recent strategic mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia is reinforcement and formalization of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia’s brotherhood and a step towards ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East and South Asia.

He said Pakistan is proud of its historic and all weather strategic cooperative partnership with China. He said that re-energization of strong and growing relations with the USA is an encouraging and welcome development. He was also appreciative of President Donald’s Trump’s personal efforts and strategic leadership to bringing peace to multiple conflict prone areas.

Alluding to the Indian state sponsored terrorism, oppression and widespread atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said these shall come to an end. He said Pakistan remains steadfast in its principled stance on Kashmir and will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the legitimate Kashmiri freedom struggle till the resolution of this internationally recognized dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

As regards the recent Gaza peace agreement, Asim Munir hoped it leads to enduring peace and stability in the region. He said Pakistan expects the ceasefire to continue followed by smooth flow of humanitarian relief and reconstruction of Gaza for its people to be able to live peacefully.

On the domestic economic front, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that despite challenges, Pakistan has surely started to regain its rightful place in the comity of nations as a responsible state with immense significance and potential. He mentioned that through relentless efforts of the government, economic indicators are positive and multiple domains are attracting investments from across the world.
