Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan and Turkiye share a historic bond of fraternity and brotherhood and they are friends and brothers forever.
He was addressing a ceremony held in Islamabad today to mark Republic Day of Turkiye.
The Prime Minister said Turkiye has stood by Pakistan through every challenging time including wars and natural calamities.
He said during our recent war with India, Turkiye stood by us like a solid rock and this is what brotherhood is.
He also mentioned Turkish support during devastating floods in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said today Turkiye and Pakistan are entering into economic, strategic and defence cooperation.
Mentioning his visit to Turkiye and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif said we have jointly resolved during these visits that we will share our sorrows and happiness.
He said today’s Turkiye is a reflection of modernity combined with traditional Turkish heritage and civilization.
