
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said that Pakistan shares a deep-rooted cultural and civilization bond with Central Asian States which serves as a strong foundation for closer cooperation.
He expressed these views while attending the Tajikistan-Pakistan Cultural Festival in Islamabad today.
The Federal Minister said cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Tajikistan will further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries. He said Pakistan is keen to promote cooperation with other Central Asian states as well.
He expressed gratitude to Government of Tajikistan for sending the cultural delegation to Pakistan. He appreciated the 75-Member Cultural Troupe for their impressive performance at Lok Virsa.
On the sidelines of the event, Tajikistan’s Minister for Culture Matlubkhon Sattoriyon and Ambassador of Tajikistan Sharifzoda Yusuf called on the Federal Minister separately and held discussions on various matters.
The Tajikistan’s Minister for Culture expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s warm hospitality on behalf of the people of Tajikistan.
The Tajik Ambassador informed the Federal Minister that the Tajik cultural troupe would also perform in Lahore as part of their visit.
