
Islamabad, December 25, 2025 — The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) marked the joyous occasion of Christmas at its Central Secretariat with warmth, enthusiasm, and a strong message of unity and interfaith harmony. The celebration brought together senior party leaders and workers in a spirit of shared respect and goodwill.
Among those present were Syed Sibti Shah Bukhari, In-Charge of the Central Secretariat; Tariq Mehmood Ghouri, Central Information Secretary of the PPP Human Rights Cell; a senior Pastor Munawwar Inayat; and members of the People’s Party and Christian Community.
A traditional Christmas cake-cutting ceremony was the highlight of the event, symbolising peace, love, and solidarity among Pakistan’s diverse religious communities. Party leaders extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community and reaffirmed the importance of mutual respect, understanding, and coexistence in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Sibti Shah Bukhari said,
“Pakistan People’s Party has always stood for love, compassion, and equality. Christmas reminds us of these shared human values, and we proudly stand with our Christian brothers and sisters as they celebrate this blessed day.”
Tariq Mehmood Ghouri also addressed the gathering, stating,
“Through the PPP Human Rights Cell, we remain fully committed to safeguarding the rights of minorities and promoting a culture of tolerance, harmony, and peaceful coexistence across Pakistan.”
The celebration reflected the Pakistan People’s Party’s longstanding tradition of honouring and celebrating the country’s rich cultural and religious diversity.
