A laptop distribution ceremony under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme was held at the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad today.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the distribution ceremony, he congratulated the students on receiving laptops and said facilities for students at Quaid-e-Azam University and other institutions will be further improved.
The Interior Minister said Islamabad Vision 2027 will be presented next month, under which a University Town project will also be introduced. He announced that the main entrance of the Quaid-e-Azam University will be renovated and beautified. He added that university’s auditorium would also be upgraded.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed pride over the improvement in Quaid-e-Azam University’s ranking and announced that the Ministry of Interior has appointed a separate coordinator for the university. He said the university will award degrees to officers undergoing training at the National Police Academy.
The Interior Minister said the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme is very close to the heart of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said Quaid-e-Azam University has been ranked as the country’s top university for three consecutive years.
