Pakistan and Denmark have decided to further enhance collaboration in climate action and science diplomacy.
The decision was made in a meeting between Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr Musadik Malik and Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan Maja Mortensen in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both sides held an in-depth discussion on the evolving dimensions of science diplomacy in the context of the current global political landscape.
Dr Musadik Malik highlighted the disproportionate burden of climate change borne by countries of the Global South, despite their comparatively lower contribution to global emissions.
The Minister appreciated the strong social welfare models and progressive environmental values of the Nordic countries.
