
US President Donald Trump has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said that he greatly appreciates him.
Addressing the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Peace Board in Washington, he welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He also admired Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, describing him as an outstanding military commander and a great fighter.
During his speech, the US President once again referred to the Pakistan-India conflict, saying that the war between Pakistan and India had been intensifying. He said the United States played its role in stopping the conflict.
Donald Trump said he had warned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that heavy tariffs would be imposed if the war was not halted.
He further highlighted that close connections were established with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the conflict. He also claimed that eleven aircraft were shot down during the war.
