The Traditional Sports & Games Pakistan Association (TSGPA) is pleased to announce that Pakistan will participate in the 6th World Nomad Games 2026 with a diverse and competitive contingent representing 23 traditional sports and games disciplines. In addition to competitive participation, TSGPA will proudly showcase Pakistan’s indigenous sporting heritage through demonstrations of Kabaddi, Desi Kushti, Kite Flying and Naiza Bazi. Aurangzeb Mubashar will demonstrate Naiza Bazi, while Sajjad Hussain Awan will demonstrate Desi Kushti on the world stage, presenting these traditional activities as an important part of Pakistan’s cultural and sporting identity.
The Pakistan contingent comprises 100 athletes and coaches across 23 disciplines, in addition to delegation and official members. The participation reflects Pakistan’s rich traditional sporting heritage and its commitment to promoting indigenous sports at the international level.
The contingent will participate in 23 disciplines. Ordo (Asykatu) will have 4 participants, Breaking Bone 5, Alysh 6, Ashyrtmaly 2, Gyulesh 2, Gushtingiri 2, Koresh 2, Korash 2, Kyrgyz Kurosh 4, Mongol Bokh 2, Pahalvani 2, Sambo 4, Sumo 2, Khapsagai 2, Mas-Wrestling 8, Arm Wrestling 6, Tug of War 14, Strong Man 3, Mangala 5, Oware 5, Toguz Korgool 4, Traditional Archery 7, and Horse Back Archery 7, making a total of 100 athletes and coaches across 23 disciplines.
The Pakistan delegation will be headed by Mr. Nawab Furqan Khan (Chairman TSGPA) as Head of Delegation, while Mr. Muhammad Shahid, Deputy Director General, will serve as Chef de Mission. The delegation will include athletes, coaches, technical personnel and other officials representing Pakistan in the various disciplines.

Nawab Furqan Khan (Chairman TSGPA) stated that Pakistan’s participation in the World Nomad Games is an important opportunity to showcase the country’s traditional sporting talent, strengthen international sporting and cultural relations, and provide Pakistani athletes with exposure to the world’s leading traditional sports community. The proposed demonstrations of Kabaddi, Desi Kushti, Kite Flying and Naiza Bazi will further enrich Pakistan’s presence by introducing international audiences to traditional sports and cultural practices deeply associated with the country’s heritage.
Nawab Furqan Khan (Chairman TSGPA) emphasized that these demonstrations are intended to serve as a cultural and sporting showcase, highlighting the diversity of Pakistan’s traditional games beyond the disciplines in which the national contingent will compete. Kabaddi will demonstrate Pakistan’s renowned team-based strength and agility; Desi Kushti, demonstrated by Sajjad Hussain Awan, will showcase the country’s historic wrestling tradition; Kite Flying will present an element of Pakistan’s popular traditional recreational culture; while Naiza Bazi, demonstrated by Aurangzeb Mubashar, will highlight Pakistan’s traditional equestrian and martial heritage through skilled horsemen and traditional lance-based displays.
Nawab Furqan Khan said that the initiative will provide a unique platform for Pakistan to promote its traditional sports, cultural heritage and soft image before an international audience. The demonstrations will also create opportunities for cultural exchange among participating nations and strengthen the spirit of friendship, respect and mutual understanding that lies at the heart of the World Nomad Games.
