Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan has said the Government is introducing reforms in health sector to ensure provision of better healthcare facilities to the people.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Regional Office of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in Gilgit on Monday.

Khalid Khurshid said all district headquarters hospitals have been upgraded to the status of teaching hospital.

He said that the Government is setting up a medical city in Minawar near Gilgit for which 1000 Kanals of land has been allocated.

The Chief Minister said that nursing and medical colleges are being set up in the region where 4000 Nursing staff will be trained in the next three years.
