The World Bank has commended Pakistan’s dedication to economic reforms and expressed its readiness to provide technical assistance and financial support for achieving its development goals.

The assurance was given by Country Director of the World Bank Najy Benhassine during a meeting with caretaker Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, and Privatization Dr. Shamshad Akhtar in Islamabad.

Njay Benhassine was also accompanied by his team, including Lead Country Economist Tobias Akhtar Haque and Operations Manager Gailius J Draugelis.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the shared vision of promoting economic stability and social development in Pakistan to foster a prosperous and resilient future for the country.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen partnership for benefit of Pakistan’s economy and its people.
