Pakistan and Hungary have vowed to strengthen parliamentary ties through parliamentary groups and regular interaction and cooperation.

The resolve was expressed at first meeting of Pak-Hungary Parliamentary Friendship Group held at National Assembly, Islamabad today.

Convener of the Group and Member National Assembly Raja Osama Sarwar chaired the meeting. Ambassador of Hungary to Pakistan Bela Fazekas was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the meeting, the Convener of Group expressed gratitude to the Hungarian government for doubling the number of scholarships for Pakistani students from 200 to 400.

The Hungarian Ambassador reiterated his country’s desire to enhance its economic and political ties with Pakistan.

The meeting marks a significant step toward further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Hungary.

It focused on exploring new avenues of collaboration and strengthening existing ties, with discussions encompassing various sectors of mutual interest.

Both sides highlighted the important role of Parliamentary Friendship Groups in promoting parliamentary diplomacy and fostering closer people-to-people contacts.
