MoU signed for Hajj Digitalization

Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Hajj Digitalization.

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja witnessed the MoU signing ceremony in Islamabad today.

On the occasion, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said the Hajj process is being made more transparent and convenient as per the directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Sardar Yousaf said the complete digital system will eliminate unnecessary delays and human errors during Hajj 2026.

The Minister said this initiative will help achieve international-level targets.

Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja said an end-to-end digital system will be introduced from Hajj application to return to homeland.

Under the MoU, the Pak Hajj mobile app will be further improved and made more user-friendly.

The portal will ensure effective communication among stakeholders and adherence to Saudi timelines.

Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi and Director General National IT Board Dr. Khalid Rafiq signed the MoU.
