After the national hockey team qualified for the Hockey World Cup for the first time in ten years, the players from Sargodha who are part of the national squad received a grand welcome upon their arrival in the city.
The reception was organized at Chowk Block No. 12 under the leadership of former Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Chaudhry Hamid Hameed. A large number of proud citizens of Sargodha gathered to warmly welcome the players.
On this occasion, residents of Sargodha expressed their love and appreciation by placing garlands of flowers around the players’ necks and showering them with rose petals.
The players thanked the people of Sargodha for their heartfelt support and enthusiastic welcome, saying that the love and encouragement of the public would further boost their morale in the upcoming international competitions, including the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup.
