In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have shifted 82 more Kashmiri political detainees to different jails in India.

According to media reports, these detainees have been shifted from jails of the valley to jails in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. Forty four prisoners have been lodged in UP’s Naini jail.

Earlier, in the second week of March, the authorities shifted 96 Kashmiri detainees under the draconian Public Safety Act to jails outside the territory.

Media reports said most of the political detainees have been shifted from Kot Bhalwal jail Jammu and from other prisons of the Valley to Haryana, New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh jails.

It said lists of more detainees are being prepared for shifting from Jammu and Kashmir jails to India.
