The process of removing debris and opening of Karakoram Highway, affected by torrential rains and cloud bursts is underway by Pakistan Army, Frontier Works Organization, National Highway Authority and local administration in Gilgit Baltistan.
Several points of Thalichi to Chilas have been cleared. Similarly, traffic has been restored at Jaglot-Sakardu road.
The process of road clearance is also underway in Tatta Pani and Jalipur and rehabilitation of road in Passu village is also continuing.
Additionally, heavy machinery has also been dispatched for reopening of three closed points at Gandola Nullah.
