A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today gave approval in principle to the restructuring of Pakistan Agricultural Research Council.
The Prime Minister instructed that a comprehensive plan for PARC’s restructuring be prepared with a clear timeline.
He directed that the PARC be developed into a top agricultural research institution modeled on Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The Prime Minister emphasized that agricultural research plays a key role in the development of the country’s agriculture and food security.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on making the PARC a dynamic institution aligned with the modern demands of agricultural research.
