Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to ensure foolproof security arrangements at bus stands, commercial centers and markets, especially on ‘Chand Raat’.
In a directive issued on Thursday, she ordered deployment of additional personnel in markets and directed women police squads to patrol to prevent harassment incidents.
The Chief Minister emphasized ensuring protection of women and children at all costs.
She also directed the use of drone cameras and night vision binoculars for surveillance, and ordered strict vigilance to curb one-wheeling on roads during ‘Chand Raat’.
