World Heritage Day was observed today (Monday).

The theme of this year is “Heritage and Climate”.  

The day is marked to increase collective efforts of the international community to protect and preserve valuable assets. 

Pakistan has a unique and diverse cultural heritage.

Its historical sites range from ancient urban settlements of Mohenjo-Daro from the Indus Valley civilization of Sindh and the rich Buddhist Ghandara civilisation to Mughal monuments, shrines of Muslim mystics, Sikh and Hindu temples and colonial period architecture.
